Event Workshop: Friday, October 18th, 2:35-3:40 in Library

Our workshop for today was to make sure that new members have a list of events they are interested by the end of the day, as we are releasing our event sign up soon. To catch up, please see the following materials:

Click here for our presentation from today. If you look at the comments we put on the slides, there are some more tips and tricks to consider. Biggest tip is to keep the number of event you are doing to a reasonable range, so around 2-3 (3 at most is a good number). A mix of prepared and on-site events can help ease your workload.

To get a feel for all of the events, go to either: inglemoortsa.org/eventguide OR https://tsaweb.org/competitions-programs/tsa/high-school-competitions

Then, visit https://tsaweb.org/competitions-programs/tsa/themes-problems to see what the prompts for your events are, if any. Some events have a theme/problem that changes every year. If you don't like the prompts, you may want to choose a different event.

Click on the resources tab and then look inside the Event Rules folder for more information. Feel free to skim through the pdf's: for now, focus on the looking just at the overview and the rubric. Please don't worry about all of the requirements that are listed, just check if you are interested in the event. We will explain the other parts of the rubrics in future workshops (don't worry if it looks overwhelming!)

Now would be a great time to also reach out to potential teammates. Also, please don't forget to pay the $25 club to the ASB bookkeeper by Wednesday! Be sure to let us know over email or Remind if you have any further questions.
